Makin’ the Best Of It is about the understanding the value of handmade treasures.  We are made up of a dynamic husband and wife team.  Andrew has worked in heavy highway construction for years and uses creative projects as his relaxation.  Kimberly is Co-Owner of Awaken Align Yoga and Wellness in Sykesville, Maryland and believes creativity can be beneficial to everyone…Mind, Body and Soul.

Kimberly and Andrew are always ready and willing to tackle a new skill and learn a new art form.   The result of this passion for creation and exploration is a insane case of Crafters ADD!  We can’t get enough!  As a result, there is always something new to see.

Chainmaille Jewelry creation began many years ago. All of our jewelry is handmade from start to finish.  We begin with raw wire and create our own rings before weaving them into the most amazing wearable are!  You can see the process of creating rings here.  These creations are for those that love amazing jewelry pieces that do not look like what everyone else is wearing.

Our hand painted glass is a way to add color to your world without adding more useless “stuff.”  Everything from wine glasses to coffee mugs to service pieces are hand painted with heat cured enamel which makes it safe in the top rack of your dishwasher…in other words…it is meant to be used rather than put on a shelf to collect dust!  All the patterns are hand painted individually so there will be slight variations on each piece, which is one of the best parts of owning handmade.  We don’t keep stock on hand but prefer to work in a custom format.  This means that each and every piece are going to be unique works  of usable art.  The possible patterns and colors are endless, so check out some examples and Contact Us to get an order started.
